Although much of what I write tends to have a technological backdrop and theme, my goal is always to concentrate primarily on the human aspect. I believe that the rate at which technological advances are taking place will continue to impact the human experience in ways we can’t fully understand. This new era will result in fascinating possibilities, as well as risks. Our perception of reality is in the process of changing at an unprecedented rate as the world around us races ahead faster than we can fully comprehend. That theme is the basis for my first three books, which make up the Impermanent Universe Trilogy.

I enjoy books across many different genres and hope to write in several eventually. The first three are technically classified as Sci-Fi, but I’ve always thought of them more as Speculative/Philosophical. Hopefully, they reflect some of the ideas I described above. My goal for those books was to make them accessible to readers of all genres, and I’ve been very pleased by the fact many people have reached out to tell me they weren’t necessarily fans of Sci-Fi but enjoyed the Impermanent Universe journey. 

 

My books won't be for everyone. I'm writing for a specific audience who is open to a different take on what they're used to. Above all, something original. And that means these novels might not resonate with certain readers. I understand that. But when I'm contacted by someone who tells me they were entertained or even moved by one of the books, I know we've connected on some level and that's really the whole point. It's my main motivation for writing.

I'm currently working on three projects: A new sci-fi novel, a crime thriller I hope to turn into a series, and a sequel to Last Perfect Dawn.
