Love, Death & Robots - Season 3

For those who've never watched this Netflix series and are fans of over-the-top Sci-Fi that sometimes borders on Horror, you may want to check out this show. Each episode is completely different and the average duration is around ten minutes. All are produced utilizing various animation techniques that provide a spectacular platform for pushing the envelope in storytelling. Some seem so realistic it's hard to believe you're not watching real actors.

The first season was criticized as being misogynistic and the second was a bit uneven. However, in my opinion, the producers have found the sweet spot with season three. And perhaps the highlight of these episodes is one called "Jabaro." It's a visually stunning piece and not one word is spoken. "Jabaro" is a perfect example of the old storytelling adage, show, don't tell. However, just be aware, that when I use the term over-the-top, it's not an exaggeration. There's gore and violence that will rival any movie ever produced and definitely won't be for everyone....VB
